Sugar Ray and The Bluetones with “Monster” Mike Welch will play one show on the Big Island while touring in Hawaii.

Sugar Ray and the Bluetones have been bringing their unique Chicago style blues to fans for nearly 40 years.The group includes Sugar Ray Norcia (vocals, harmonica); “Monster” Mike Welch (guitar, vocals); Anthony Geraci (piano); Michael “Mudcat” Ward (bass); and Neil Gouvin (drums).

The group performs May 18 on Kauai, May 19 in Honolulu, and 7:30 p.m. May 20 at the Crown Room at the Naniloa Hotel in Hilo.

Doors for the Hilo show open at 7 p.m. and tickets start at $30. Tickets can be purchased at the Naniloa Hotel front desk, Hilo Guitars, CD Wizard, Hilo Music Exchange, Kiernan’s Music in Kainaliu, Kona Music Exchange, Waimea General Store and Taro Patch Gifts.
